Pay Scale (Salary)
Staff Nurse Class-III will be appointed on a contract basis for the first five years to an eligible candidate with a monthly fixed pay of Rs 40,800 for the first five years subject to the provision of the Finance Department resolution. Thereafter, on completion of five years of service, their services to the satisfaction of the Appointing Authority shall be placed in Pay Matrix Level-5 Pay Scale Rs.29,200-92,300 as per 7th Pay Commission or as may be fixed by the Government, who shall be eligible for appointment in that pay scale.
Educational Qualification
Basic B.Sc obtained from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/Gujarat Nursing Council. Having a nursing degree
Or
Auxiliary Nurses and Midwife (ANM) and Female Health Workers (FHW) who have been performing duties in the State Government or Panchayat Service for the last 10 years on regular appointment and have educational qualification of B.Sc Nursing or GNM as mentioned in the advertisement can also apply for this post. They will be eligible for age relaxation as per the existing rules of Govt.
Age should not exceed 45 under any circumstances. You have to produce the objection certificate of that office.
Permanent and periodically renewed registration of a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with the Gujarat Nursing Council is mandatory while applying. The registration number of a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent qualification must be indicated in the application form. Any other grounds will not be entertained.
You should have adequate knowledge of both Gujarati and Hindi.
Age Limit
Candidate age should not be less than 20 years and not more than 40 years as of the last date of application 03/11/2024. The upper age limit for all reserved category candidates should not exceed 45 years on the due date in any case with relaxation.
Selection Process & Syllabus
The exam will be conducted through the OMR method. 100 questions from the nursing subject and 100 questions from the Gujarati subject will be asked.
Paper 1 will be of nursing subject. Which Fundamental of Nursing 20 marks, Medical-Surgical Nursing 20 marks, Midwifery and Pediatric Nursing 20 marks, Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing 20 marks, and Community Health Nursing 20 marks thus a total of 100 questions will be asked and each question will carry 1 mark.
Thus there will be a total of 100 marks in the question paper. The syllabus for these subjects will be as per the syllabus prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council.
The course to be asked for paper-2 Gujarati language paper will not be below the 12th higher secondary level. In which language 30 marks, grammar 40 marks, and literature 30 marks total of 100 questions will be asked and each question will carry 1 mark. Thus there will be a total of 100 marks in the question paper.
0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
For the competitive examination, the examination related to nursing subject Paper-1 will be of 100 marks with 40 percent marks required for passing. The time for the exam will be two hours. The exam can be given in Gujarati or English language.
Gujarati language exam paper-2 will be of 100 marks with 35 percent marks required to pass. The exam can be given only in the Gujarati language.
It is necessary to pass both exams. But the merit list will be made based on the marks obtained in both the Nursing subject as well as the Gujarati language papers.
Application Fees
General category select candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 300 + post office charge (in case of online fee payment Rs 300 + fee charge).
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Socially and Educationally Backward Class, Economically Weaker Class, Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen candidates will not have to pay fees as per the existing rules of Govt.
The last date for payment of a fee in the post office as well as online will be till post office working hours of 04/11/2024.
