Women in any kind of difficult situation call Abhayam 181 helpline for telephonic guidance by experts and trained counselors to solve their problems.
Immediate rescue in case of violence
If a woman is experiencing or is in danger of domestic or other violence, she can call the Abhayam 181 helpline for immediate help. In this situation, 181 young men reach out to help the woman in need.
Information on women-oriented structures and schemes
As the aim of the helpline is to empower women with assistance and security, the schemes implemented by various departments of the state government, their benefits, and contact details can also be obtained.
Any woman can call the helpline to get information about the services of various government structures available at the local level such as the Women’s Police Station, Police Station Based Support Centre, Free Legal Aid, Family Counseling Centre, Voluntary Organisations, Protection Officer and Gujarat State Women’s Commission.
